If you had a little puppy, would you shout at it to make it grow? No! You would give it hugs and good food. You are just like that puppy. If you are mean to yourself, your “Inner Puppy” gets scared and won’t change. But if you give yourself “Good Words,” you’ll feel happy and ready to grow strong.
Why This Happens: This is the “Law of Self Approval”. If your suggestions for change (I want to be …) conflict with a deep belief (I am unworthy), your subconscious will reject the change. You stay stuck in an “unproductive situation” because you are “punishing yourself for real and imagined sins” from the past.
How to Fix It: Use the “Glass Container” technique to “drain” away feelings of guilt, shame, and self-loathing. Replace them with “white energy” filling you with patience and kindness. Meet your “Wise Part” to receive a “gift” of self-approval, reminding you that you are “naturally loveable and likeable no matter what you do”.
Context Research: Sigmund Freud viewed symptoms as symbolic ways of dealing with internal conflicts. By evaluating these “repressions” with “adult wisdom,” you can achieve “enlightenment and permanent change”.
