1. Overview of Services

Good Words (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides hypno-psychotherapy sessions, online digital products (including relaxation audio tapes, self-assessment tests), and professional scripts for other practitioners. Our services are designed to support personal growth, well-being, and professional development.

2. Client Suitability and Right to Refuse Service

Hypno-psychotherapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric condition, please consult with your GP or a qualified medical professional. By engaging with our services, you confirm you are seeking support for personal development and well-being.

We reserve the right to refuse to provide services or products to any individual at our sole discretion, without providing a reason. We may also decline or refer clients if we deem our services unsuitable for their needs.

3. Pricing and Payment

Prices for all services and products are displayed clearly on our website and/or provided to you at the time of booking or purchase. All payments are to be made in Euro (€). We accept payment via cash or card.

4. Product & Service Details, Delivery, and Expiration

a. Tokens (Relaxation Audio & Self-Assessment Test Access)

• Validity: Each token is valid for 30 days from the day of purchase.
• Usage: When purchased, tokens are mostly intended for instant, single use to access an audio tape or complete a test.
• Delivery: Online via this website.

b. Unlimited Access to Audio Collection Subscription

• Validity: Your subscription is valid for 30 days from the start of each billing cycle and renews monthly until cancelled.
• Delivery: Online via this website.

c. Hypno-Psychotherapy Sessions

• Session Length: While a session typically averages from 60 to 90 minutes, hypnotherapy uses different techniques, and session length may vary.
• Delivery: Sessions can be delivered online (via video call) or on-site in a designated therapy room.
• On-Site Sessions at Your Chosen Address: If you prefer an on-site session at an address of your choice, additional fees will be applied to cover travel and other associated costs. These costs will be agreed upon in advance.
• Validity: Individual sessions and sessions purchased as part of a pack are valid for a maximum of 6 months from the day of purchase.

d. Session Packs (e.g., 5-Session Pack)

• This purchase allows you to use 5 private sessions at a reduced price.
• Validity: All sessions within a pack must be used within 6 months from the date of purchase.

e. Token Packs (e.g., 10-Token Pack)

• This purchase allows you to use 10 tokens, offering a discount compared to 10 single purchases.
• Validity: All tokens within a pack are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase.

f. Professional Scripts

• Delivery: Online via this website.

5. Refund and Returns Policy

Due to the nature of our digital products and personalized services, our refund policy is as follows:

a. Digital Products (Tokens, Subscriptions, Professional Scripts):

• Tokens (Single and Packs): Once purchased, tokens grant immediate access to digital content. All sales of tokens are final, and no refunds are offered for purchased tokens.
• Unlimited Access to Audio Collection Subscription: Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel your subscription at any time; however, no refunds will be issued for partial months or for any past subscription fees once the billing period has started. Access will continue until the end of your current billing cycle.
• Professional Scripts: As these are digital, instantly downloadable products, all sales are final and non-refundable once the download link has been provided or the script accessed.
• Additional non-returnable items include Gift cards and Downloadable products.

b. Hypno-Psychotherapy Sessions (Individual & Packs):

• All purchases of individual sessions and session packs are generally non-refundable. This includes any sessions purchased as part of a discounted pack, where the discounted rate is based on the commitment to a series of sessions. Therefore, purchases part of a pack are final and non-refundable, meaning no refund will be issued for unused sessions within a pack. This policy reflects the commitment required for therapeutic progress and the administrative costs associated with booking and scheduling.
• Exceptional Circumstances: In rare and exceptional circumstances, a partial refund or credit may be considered on a case-by-case basis, at our sole discretion. Any such consideration will require written communication outlining the circumstances.

c. General Refund Principles:

• No Refunds for Services Rendered: No refunds will be issued for any hypno-psychotherapy session or consultation that has already taken place.
• Payment Method: Any approved refunds (in exceptional cases) will only be processed back to the original payment card used for the purchase. We cannot process refunds to a different card or account.
• Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of approval. Please note that banks or payment providers may take additional time to post the refund to your account.

d. No Right to Cancel (Consumer Rights Act 2022 – Digital Content & Services):

• For digital content (like tokens, audio files, scripts) that is supplied immediately upon purchase and access, you acknowledge that by proceeding with the purchase and accessing the content, you lose your right to cancel under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
• For services (hypno-psychotherapy sessions), once the service has commenced or is booked and scheduled, the right to cancel within a cooling-off period may not apply depending on the specific circumstances and commencement of service. We advise clear communication regarding cancellations (see Section 6).

6. Session Booking, Rescheduling, and Cancellation Policy

• Booking: All sessions must be booked in advance.
• Rescheduling: We understand that sometimes changes are unavoidable. If you need to reschedule a pre-booked hypno-psychotherapy session, please provide a minimum of 48 hours notice. Sessions rescheduled with sufficient notice will retain their validity within the 6-month period.
• Cancellations & Missed Sessions:
  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice or missed appointments without prior notification will result in the forfeiture of the session, and no refund or rescheduling will be offered for that session. This is to cover the therapist’s time and the operational costs incurred.
  • For clients with session packs, a forfeited session will be deducted from your remaining balance.
• Therapist Cancellation: In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a session, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer you the option to reschedule at your earliest convenience or, in appropriate circumstances, a refund for that specific session.

7. Gift Codes and Coupons

If you receive a gift code or coupon, this can be accumulated on some products as specified by the coupon terms, but cannot be redeemed for cash or refunded. Specific terms and conditions for each gift code or coupon will apply as communicated at the time of issuance.

8. Script Submission and Rewards for Professionals

• Submission: Professionals may submit scripts for review and consideration.
• Review: All submitted scripts will be reviewed for quality and suitability by Good Words.
• Reward: If a script is accepted and deemed to be of sufficient quality, the author will be rewarded with a coupon for use on the Good Words website.
• No Cash Alternative: If someone provides a script with the intention of receiving a coupon, they cannot ask for money instead of the coupon.
• Usage of Coupon: The coupon can be used on all self-help services offered on the Good Words website.
• Author Rights: By submitting a script, the author agrees that Good Words may use the script in any way we deem appropriate for our services.
• Partnership: If an author plans to provide multiple scripts, they are encouraged to contact Good Words to discuss potential partnership opportunities and better deals.

9. Confidentiality and Data Protection (GDPR)

• Confidentiality: All hypno-psychotherapy sessions are conducted with the strictest confidentiality, in accordance with our ethical guidelines and professional standards. Information shared during sessions will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit written consent, except where legally required (e.g., court order) or if there is a serious and immediate risk of harm to yourself or others.
• Data Protection (GDPR): We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data protection legislation.
  • We collect and process personal data solely for the purpose of providing our services, managing your bookings, and for legitimate administrative and legal purposes.
  • Your data will be stored securely.
  • You have rights concerning your personal data, including the right to access, rectify, or erase your data, and the right to restrict or object to its processing.

10. Professional Ethics and Standards

Our hypno-psychotherapy practice adheres to the ethical guidelines and professional standards set by the European Association of Professional Hypnotherapists (EAPH). This includes requirements for ongoing supervision, continuing professional development, and adherence to a strict code of conduct.

11. Client Commitment and Therapeutic Agreement

Your hypno-psychotherapy sessions with “Good Words” represent a collaborative and dedicated partnership. While I am committed to providing my full expertise and support to help you achieve your goals, the success of our work depends on mutual respect and commitment.

Your Commitment to the Process:

• Punctuality and Consistency: I ask for your commitment to attending all scheduled sessions on time. Punctuality is crucial for making the most of our limited time together and maintaining the therapeutic momentum.
• Active Engagement: Hypno-psychotherapy is not a passive process. To achieve the best results, it is essential that you actively engage in the work we do. This includes:
  • Honouring Homework: Please commit to completing any agreed-upon homework, exercises, or tasks seriously and to the best of your ability between sessions. This out-of-session work is vital for reinforcing and integrating the changes we make.
  • Dedicated Time: I ask that you dedicate the entire session time to the therapeutic work. If, at any point, a session is not fully dedicated to this purpose, I reserve the right to stop it. In such cases, the full session fee will still be payable and will not be refunded.
• Preparation for Sessions: To ensure you are in the best state for our work, I recommend that you:
  • Wear comfortable clothing.
  • Have a glass of water available.
  • For online sessions, ensure you are in a quiet, undisturbed, and private space.

My Commitment to You:

• Professionalism and Availability: I will do my utmost to be available at our scheduled times and ensure I am undisturbed during your session. My focus will be entirely on you and the work we are doing.
• Confidentiality and Privacy: I will respect all personal information you share with me. My note-taking system is designed with your protection in mind, built to ensure a minimum level of security. If asked by a third party whether I know you as a client, I will maintain your privacy by responding with a vague, professional statement such as, “The city is quite small,” or “I meet a lot of people,” without confirming or denying that I know you. My note-taking is done with this principle in mind.

Clinical Supervision and Quality Assurance:

• Anonymity in Supervision: To maintain the highest professional standards, I participate in regular clinical supervision. If I need to seek assistance or discuss a case with my supervisor, or if my practice is being tested, I will anonymise all data so that your identity is completely protected. I will only discuss the therapeutic topic and the information necessary to receive professional guidance.

Word of Mouth, Recommendations, and Testimonials:

• Client Feedback: Your honest feedback is invaluable. If you wish to share a testimonial or provide feedback that could help my practice, I will ask for your consent and clarify the level of detail you are comfortable with sharing. You can choose to provide a full name, first name only, initials, or remain completely anonymous.
• Recommendations: While I am incredibly grateful for any recommendations you may provide to others, please understand that I am unable to offer any form of reward or compensation for such referrals. The therapeutic relationship and its outcomes are their own reward.

12. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide high-quality services, the success of hypno-psychotherapy depends significantly on the client’s commitment and engagement. We do not guarantee specific outcomes or cures. Our liability to you for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with these terms or the services provided shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service or product giving rise to the claim. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

13. Intellectual Property

All content provided by Good Words, including but not limited to audio recordings, self-assessment tests, scripts, website content, and any therapeutic materials, are the intellectual property of Good Words or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from this content without our express written permission. Professional scripts are licensed for the individual professional’s use and not for redistribution.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

By engaging with our services, making a purchase, or providing a donation, you acknowledge and agree that all transactions, payments, and interactions with Good Words are considered to be conducted with or within Ireland. Regardless of your geographical location when accessing our website or services, the contractual relationship and all associated financial transactions are governed by Irish law and deemed to originate from our operational base in Ireland.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically for updates. Continued use of our services after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
