I have to be perfect, or it is not worth

Imagine you are painting a beautiful picture. If you make one little wiggly line, do you throw the whole paper away? No! The wiggly line just makes the picture special. Growing up isn’t about never making a mistake; it’s about learning that every wiggly line is part of your own unique story.

Why This Happens: Perfectionism is a “behaviour loop” often rooted in “uneducated comprehension of past events,” such as being compared to others as a child. This triggers the “Law of Reversed Effect”: the harder you consciously try to be perfect, the more your subconscious resists, making you feel like a failure.

How to Fix It: There is a mental version of you that knows “perfection is an unattainable ideal”. Visit this version of yourself in your mind to remind you that you have a “divine right” to be yourself.

Context: Carl Jung emphasized that we should find our “uniqueness” rather than copying others. True growth comes when we accept “imperfections” as part of the package on our journey to a “Better Self”.
